So you’re done applying to your desired universities – now, what’s next? Well, wait a few weeks to and you’ll be receiving an offer letter from the university. An offer letter essentially means that you have been accepted for the program you have applied for and you can proceed with the next steps, depending on the type of offer letter you’ve receive – conditional or unconditional.
What is a Conditional Offer Letter?
A conditional offer letter means that you are allowed provisional admission at the university with certain conditions attached to it. Once you meet these conditions, the offer letter become unconditional. You can accept the offer letter only once the offer letter becomes unconditional and then go ahead to pay for your tuition fee for the first semester and purchase an Overseas Student Health cover for the entire duration of course.
What is an Unconditional Offer Letter?
Universities issue an Unconditional Offer Letter to international students who have already met all the entrance requirements to take admission. It means, they have already accepted you as a student at their university and you now need to simply accept this unconditional offer letter to proceed with your admission procedure. To secure your admission, the first step is to make the acceptance payment which is usually the first semester’s tuition fee along with OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) for the entire duration of your course. Once this is done, the universities issue a eCOE (Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment) letter which is required to file your visa application.
